yesterday i realized that i am leaving in approximately 25 days. yikes! the realization of how soon i am leaving left me feeling very cranky and panicky at all of the logistics i still need to figure out. poor jessa caught me at the beginning of my crankiness, which i'm hoping does not deter her from calling again!
but today, i'm back on track (i hope). fortunately, it's cloudy so i won't feel like i'm missing valuable time in the sun when i spend the day doing tasky things, trying to make sure i'm ready for my adventure. day packs. shoes. sleeping bags. cameras. clothes. if anyone has any suggestions about any of these items, i welcome the advice because purchasing products and planning for packing is one of my biggest stressors currently!
but above all else, today is about celebrating kayla's eighth birthday. i just can't believe that my munchkin is eight!
