breakfast in singapore

i woke up this morning in singapore.

today (november 3) we are docked in singapore fueling up. we'll be
here most of the day, and we're close enough to land that immigration
needs to come aboard and stamp passports. so, i find it to be very
funny that i'll have a passport stamp from singapore when i don't
even have passport stamps from all of the other countries we've visited.

but either way, i had breakfast in singapore!

oh, and i have a p.s. for myanmar. there are very few internet cafes
in myanmar, which made internet time at even more of a premium over
the last few weeks. but most interesting about this is that even if
the internet cafes were everywhere and even if they weren't slower
than dial up, there are many websites that we frequently use (like
hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail and google) that are banned, so even if i
wanted to check mail, i couldn't. just another example of how living
under a military regime is extremely different from the life to which
we're accustomed.
