Airports

I'm at LAX awaiting my flight back east for the holidays. Airports bring about such interesting feelings for me. There is the joy of watching people greet each other after being separated. And there's the heartbreak of watching loved ones say goodbye. There's the fear in the eyes of those who don't like to fly, and the excitement of those headed to a much-anticipated destination. But no matter what you're feeling, airports have that buzz of movement. Everyone is on the move somewhere, and it reminds me of how quickly life can pass by. So as I sit here amongst the flutter, I can't help but think of those who mean the most to me, and how they keep me grounded no matter how high I fly.
